After some radio silence on the blog due to unplanned surgery, I’m back with my September 2021 beauty faves. This blog post contains my top 5 makeup and skincare products this month, with picks from an indie makeup brand, a makeup giant, and 2 Korean skincare brands.

Since having a few weeks off from blogging, I found that I really missed it. I’ve missed discussing the products that I love and the ones that I’m not so keen on, and I’ve missed reading everyone’s blog posts. I’m going to be catching up with blog reading over the next week or two, so drop your blog links in the comments for me to check them out.

Anyway, here are my September beauty faves. I hope you enjoy reading this post!

1. Peaches & Cream Fudge Lip Gloss

1. Peaches & Cream Fudge Lip Gloss image

I’d seen Peaches & Cream all over TikTok and wanted to pick some products up from the brand. This small, indie and female-owned makeup brand is super affordable, and the products looked amazing. I decided to pick up a lip gloss and lip liner.

The Peaches & Cream Fudge Lip Gloss is honestly amazing. Fudge is a deep pinky-brown nude that’s pigmented and offers a high-shine finish. It’s shimmer-free and feels silky smooth and comfortable on the lips. I’m obsessed with both the shade and the finish. It makes your lips look juicy, but the formula isn’t sicky. Instead, the gloss imparts hydration and has a delicious tutti-frutti scent.

My only gripe is that it isn’t very long-lasting. It lasts for about 3 hours before fading. The Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb has longer-lasting power, in contrast. The lip gloss is very affordable, though, so I’m happy to keep reapplying it.

I will 100% buy more Peaches & Cream Lip Glosses in the future. I’m so impressed with mine!

Where to buy

Retailing for £6.95 for 15ml, you can purchase the Fudge Lip Gloss from Peaches & Cream. This price is fantastic. It’s so affordable and the lip gloss is high-quality.

Rating: 4.5 stars

I love my Peaches & Cream Lip Gloss. I can’t wait to try more shades in the future!

2. Peaches & Cream Feline Lip Liner

To accompany the Peaches & Cream Lip Gloss, I also purchased the Peaches & Cream Feline Lip Liner. Feline is a medium pinky-brown nude lip liner with blush undertones, which complements the gloss beautifully.

This lip liner is again very affordable, which makes it all the more satisfying when the formula is good. It’s creamy, blendable and easy to apply. The lip liner defines my lips nicely, but you could also apply it all over your lips to help lip gloss last longer.

It’s not the most long-lasting lip liner I’ve used, but you can expect that from a cheaper product. However, the shade is stunning and I love how comfortable the lip liner feels on the lips, so I’m happy with it overall.

I’d definitely pick up more lip liner shades in the future. Punchline looks stunning, which is a cool coffee brown.

Where to buy

You can purchase the Feline Lip Liner from Peaches & Cream for £3.95. Again, the price is fantastic. £4 for a lip liner is such a steal and it doesn’t disappoint. I got the Lip Gloss & Lip Liner Bundle for £10, which is a bargain.

Rating: 4 stars

I really like the Peaches & Cream Feline Lip Liner.

3. COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream*

COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream image

The COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream is an incredibly popular Korean moisturiser. Stylevana kindly gifted me it and I couldn’t wait to see how it performed.

It’s got a really unusual gloopy and stringy – almost slimy – texture. I guess it lives up to the snail name? I’m not 100% sure how I feel about the texture, as it can be quite messy to scoop out of the pot, but it does perform well. It’s lightweight, absorbent, and hydrates the skin immediately. Although it’s moisturising, the Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream never feels greasy or pills.

It’s not my favourite moisturiser ever, but I still really like it. I think people with oilier skin will particularly love this non-sticky moisturiser. I’d happily purchase it with my own money.

Where to buy

At the time of writing this post, the COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream is currently on sale at Stylevana for £11.24 for 100g. This is a great price. I’d thoroughly recommend picking up the moisturiser from Stylevana for this discounted rate if you’re interested in Korean skincare!

The COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in one Cream is a great and affordable moisturiser.

4. FRUDIA Avocado Relief Essence Toner*

4. FRUDIA Avocado Relief Essence Toner image

If you’re looking for a soothing and nourishing treatment, you’ll love the FRUDIA Avocado Relief Essence Toner. This innovative hybrid product combines the power of a toner with the gentle effects of an essence for a truly multi-purpose solution.

This hydrating essence toner calms and moisturises the skin, making it perfect for those looking for a hydration boost or people with sensitive skin. The texture is quite thick, sitting somewhere in between a serum and a moisturiser. Despite being thick, it still absorbs quickly into the skin.

It’s also got a lovely fresh scent and feels cooling on the skin. I find it very satisfying to use if my skin feels warm or aggravated. This product is lovely to apply after being out in the sunshine all day as it instantly refreshes and soothes the skin.

Since using this FRUDIA product, my skin is less red and feels more nourished. Prior to Stylevana gifting me this toner, I’d never heard of FRUDIA, but I’m so impressed with this product that I’d love to try more from the brand! Any recommendations would be very welcome.

Where to buy

The FRUDIA Avocado Relief Essence Toner is currently on sale on Stylevana for £11.02 for 195ml. This is such a fantastic price. I’d definitely recommend picking it up at this great discounted rate!

I love the FRUDIA Avocado Relief Essence Toner so much.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Goldgasm

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Goldgasm image

I recently got the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Goldgasm and I’ve really enjoyed using it. This is a gorgeous liquid gold highlighter that gives a blinding ‘wet look’ glow.

The Beauty Light Wand is very pigmented, blendable and gives your skin soft-focus radiance. When I apply it to the high points of my face, it reflects the light beautifully for a dewy golden finish. This is a very pigmented highlighter, so if you prefer sheerer skin-like finishes, this one won’t be for you.

I find you have to tap this highlighter lightly into the skin, else it can disturb any base products you might be wearing. Ultimately, this highlighter is probably a bit too dark for my skin. I think Goldgasm would suit people with medium to dark skin. A lighter champagne gold would better suit my complexion, but I can still get away with using Goldgasm.

However, I can’t fault the formula because it’s truly beautiful. Charlotte Tilbury rarely disappoints.

Where to buy

The Beauty Light Wand costs £29 for 12ml and can be purchased from Charlotte Tilbury, Cult Beauty, House of Fraser, Space NK or John Lewis.

This is obviously an expensive highlighter as Charlotte Tilbury is a high-end beauty brand. However, the highlighter is very pigmented, so a little goes a long way. This means you’re not going to use much product on application, and it last for a while.

Rating: 4 stars

I really like the Beauty Light Wand, but it’s not my favourite highlighter.

Final thoughts on my September beauty faves

And that’s my September 2021 beauty faves wrapped up! I really enjoyed putting this list together, as I had loads of new products this month.

If I could only recommend one product from this post, it would be the FRUDIA Avocado Relief Essence Toner. This toner essence offers loads of benefits to the skin and is affordable. I can’t praise it highly enough!
