On A Woman’s Confidence, certain posts might contain affiliate links. Whenever I use any affiliate links, I will always outline this clearly at the beginning of each post to make it obvious to my readers that there is an affiliate relationship involved.

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a way for people to earn commission by promoting a company’s product or service. It’s one of the most popular and efficient ways for bloggers to generate money.

How does it work on this site?

For my blog, when posts contain affiliate links, this means that if you click on that link to purchase the product or service that I am talking about, then I earn a small amount of commission at no extra cost to you. This is a way for me to earn a bit of money for the hard work and time I dedicate to my blog.

But is it trustworthy?

When a person becomes affiliated with a company, it can beg the question of whether their review of the product or service is authentic or whether they’re just trying to generate a sale.

For me, I love blogging and I love testing out new products, regardless of whether I get paid for this or not. The income side of things would just be a nice bonus. Essentially, the main driver for this blog is my passion and not for money.

Therefore, I will always be honest with any review that I do. If I don’t like the product, I either won’t include an affiliate link (even if I have the opportunity to) or I’ll be very explicit in the fact that the product/service is not for me.

No person is going to like every product or service and to lie about your perspective on this to solely generate money will result in your readers not trusting you or valuing your opinions.
