Disclaimer: Maysama gifted me the Green Rooibos Pressed Serum for review purposes, but all of my opinions remain unbiased and honest

In this blog post, I will be reviewing the Maysama Green Rooibos Pressed Serum, which claims to hydrate, soothe and nourish the skin.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Maysama for gifting me this product. Hyram raves about green tea in skincare, so I couldn’t wait to try out this pressed serum.

Serums are a very important step in your skincare routine, as they target any skin ‘concerns’ you might have, such as blackheads, redness, uneven skin texture etc. They can be pretty expensive, but they really help improve the look and feel of your skin.

My thoughts on the serum

Firstly, I absolutely adore the packaging. It’s simple and completely matches Maysama’s eco-friendly ethos. The glass bottle feels sturdy and luxurious.

Maysama describes this serum as having a “warm, authentic herby smell” and I couldn’t agree more. It’s earthy and non-clinical. It smells like it’s going to be good for your skin. Plus, the reddish-brown colour adds to the authentic feel to the serum.

On application, the Green Rooibos Serum is cooling and soothing. I like that it’s lightweight and absorbent, meaning it doesn’t feel tacky on the skin. It has a gel-like consistency. This is ideal for oilier skin types, as it won’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin.

Since using this product, my skin texture has improved. I also find this product very hydrating. Normally, I use this serum as part of my night-time routine and after using a retinol or exfoliator, this works a treat on my skin.

I don’t find it particularly nourishing, but I apply the DWIRA Hemp Superfood Face Oil afterwards for some added moisture.

As this product is fragrance-free and soothing, I think this would work beautifully on sensitive skin. I’ve really enjoyed using the Maysama Green Rooibos Pressed Serum and I’m very grateful to have been able to try it.

Where to buy

Retailing for £46 for 30ml, you can purchase this green tea from Maysama.

This is a good price. One pump will cover your whole face and the experience of using this product is fantastic. It will take you months to finish this product up too, so I believe it’s a worthwhile investment.

Conclusion

I’m impressed with the Maysama Green Rooibos Pressed Serum. I love the recyclable packaging, scent, experience and results. It’s not my favourite serum ever, but I’m really happy I’ve tried it and would definitely repurchase.

Rating: 4.5 stars
