Danessa Myricks Beauty was founded by self-taught makeup artist Danessa Myricks, whose early frustrations with makeup that didn’t work for deeper or textured skin inspired her to build her own line. Starting in 2015, Danessa leveraged her experience as a makeup artist and educator to create products that empower creative expression and inclusivity, especially for underrepresented skin tones.

The brand quickly became known for multi-functional, unique, and highly pigmented formulations, such as the Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder, a TikTok sensation that can be used as a primer, foundation, or finishing powder to blur pores, reduce excess oiliness and shine, and leave skin with a smooth and soft matte finish. These are the products that I’m reaching for the most. They improve the look and feel of my skin, add lots of volume and body to my hair, facilitate gorgeous makeup looks, and ensure I smell incredible all day long. I had a hard time narrowing down this list to my faves, as I tried loads of excellent products in 2025, but here are my beauty must-haves.

The Valentino Born In Roma Donna Extradose Parfum (20% off at LookFantastic with LFTFBLOGSARAH) is a gorgeous perfume. With notes of vanilla, jasmine, cassis accord, and rhum accord, this perfume is sweet, slightly floral, and romantic. It’s elegant and is the type of perfume you can wear for any occasion, as it’s not overpowering. This perfume lasts all day without fading. I’m obsessed.

The Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre is one of my favourite shimmery single eyeshadows. They’re creamy, insanely pigmented, easy to blend, and come in a beautiful range of shades. You can pack on intense colour to your eyelids by using your fingertips, or use a fluffy eyeshadow brush to diffuse the colour for a softer shimmery look. From golden olive and warm rose gold to navy blue and silver chrome, the shades look expensive. These are perfect ‘one and done’ shadows that deliver incredible results every time. I frequently reach for them.

The Redken Volume Injection Shampoo (20% off at LookFantastic with LFTFBLOGSARAH) is one of the best shampoos for adding volume and lift to my hair. This shampoo makes my hair look fuller and thicker, while preventing my scalp from getting oily as quickly. A little bit of product goes a long way.

It adds moisture, hydration, and dewiness to my skin instantly, without making my skin oily. This toner instantly refreshes my skin; it’s a cheat code to healthy skin in a bottle and absolutely worth the hype.

The Sculpted by Aimee LashLift has quickly become one of my fave mascaras. It adds effortless length and lift to my lashes without looking clumpy or flaking. It’s pretty smudge-proof, too. I love that the formula is lightweight, separates lashes, and delivers length with just 1 coat. I’ve got this mascara in Ultra-Black and Rich Brown, and both shades are stunning.

The Wavytalk Blowout Boost (25% off with Sarah25) is my first foray into thermal brushes, and I wish I’d tried it sooner. This heated brush allows you to easily get a ’90s blowout hairstyle, add volume to your hair, or get smooth waves. It heats up quickly and allows you to get salon-worthy results at home. Obsessed.

The Rhode Pocket Blush is a beautiful and versatile formula. Whether you apply the blush directly to your cheeks and lips, use a brush, or use your fingertips, it will blend easily and never look overdone. I find this blush works best when warmed on the back of my hand, and then using a brush to pick up the product from my hand and diffuse across my cheeks. This blush has a soft matte, skin-like finish that gives skin a natural flush of colour. The shade range is gorgeous. Sleepy Girl (a soft mauve) and Toasted Teddy (a bronze terracotta) are my go-to shades.

The Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash (20% off at LookFantastic with LFTFBLOGSARAH) is fantastic. This cleanser makes my skin feel clean, fresh, hydrated, and smooth after use. As the exfoliation comes in a cleanser form, this is more tolerable for sensitive skin, as the formula is washed off your skin, which makes it great for those looking to introduce an exfoliator into their skincare routine without damaging their skin’s barrier. This cleanser foams easily, so a little bit of product goes a long way. My complexion looks brighter and more even after using this cleanser.

The Lancôme Rénergie H.C.F Triple Serum is an expensive and innovative serum that’s worth the money. It contains skin-loving ingredients like ferulic acid, vitamin C, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid to smooth, brighten, and moisturise the skin. It’s also designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Since using this serum, my skin looks more radiant and feels firmer.

The Lancôme Rénergie H.P.N. UVMUNE SPF50 Cream is one of my fave moisturisers in recent years. It’s rich, luxurious, and thick. Yet, despite being ultra-nourishing, it never feels heavy or greasy. Instead, it melts into the skin easily and provides long-lasting hydration. Some moisturisers containing SPF feel like they never absorb into the skin and just sit on top in a heavy, clogging way. This one smooths into the skin like a breeze, thanks to the plumping peptide complex.

The ONE/SIZE On ‘Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray is perfect for locking makeup into place. If I’m wearing makeup for over 6 hours or want my base to stay perfectly in place, this setting spray is my go-to. It means my makeup won’t budge and will look fresh all day. I love how fine the mister is on this setting spray, as it ensures even distribution of the product across my face.

The Kiehl’s Ultra Body Mega Moisture Squalane Cream balances being lightweight and absorbent, alongside delivering long-lasting nourishment. After using this on my feet, which can get quite dry and cracked after swimming, this helps repair any soreness and soothe dryness for soft, supple skin.

The Jones Road Gel Liner is creamy, which means it doesn’t drag across the eyelids on application or feel drying. It glides on seamlessly and doesn’t budge once applied. The gel liner foolproof to use, as you can achieve smooth, precise lines, without it wobbling or smudging. I’ve got the shade Navy, which adds a subtle touch of colour to eye makeup for a sophisticated look.

The Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 (15% off at Sephora with SARAHSSPH) has quickly become one of my fave gourmand scents. This cherry fragrance has an elevated and complex fragrance profile, with notes like caramelised praline, patchouli, palo santo, and guaiac wood. On paper, I wouldn’t opt for this perfume, as I don’t tend to like woody fragrances, but this one smells balanced, sophisticated, and not overpowering. I love it.

The Skinfood Rice Brightening Pad (money off YesStyle with CONFIDENCE10) is a toner pad that’s worth investing in. These sumptuous toner pads make skin hydrated, look glowy, and feel refreshed. Rice pore complex helps restore elasticity and tighten the skin, PHA gently exfoliates the skin, and niacinamide helps brighten the complexion and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. After using these toner pads, my skin instantly looks and feels better.

The By Beauty Bay Desert Haze 20 Colour Palette is a colour story that instantly stood out to me, with fiery coppers and golds, royal blue, earthy khakis and browns, stunning rose golds, and soft beige sandy tones. Although this palette is cheap, the shadows feel expensive. The mattes are soft and buttery with minimal fallout, while the shimmers are fiercly pigmented and deliver a range of shimmer intensities to create a diverse range of looks. I reach for this palette quite regularly at the moment.

The MAC Lustreglass Lipstick in Alone Time is a unique cool-toned lipstick. I don’t always suit cool-toned lipsticks, as they can wash me out and appear greyish on my complexion, but Alone Time is wearable. It’s a pretty mauve brown that will work with just about any neutral or cool-toned makeup look. The formula is smoothing, flattering, sheer, and buildable. It makes lips look glossy and keeps them hydrated. 

The Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence (20% off at LookFantastic with LFTFBLOGSARAH) is another excellent milky toner. This formula is richer and more nourishing than the Laneige one in this best beauty products of 2025 list, which makes it ideal for drier skin or in colder weather. The toner is ultra-hydrating and seals in moisture all day. It also makes my skin look radiant, feel soft and smooth, and removes the need for a thick moisturiser.

The Haus Labs Color Fuse Longwear Glassy Lip + Cheek Stick is perfect for when I want a glossy cheek look. This gorgeous formula blends effortlessly. Whether I’m after a saturated pop of glassy colour or a more subtle flush of colour, this stick blush will work. It removes the need for a highlighter, as it provides a glowy non-shimmery finish, which is flattering and never clings to skin texture. The shade range is phenomenal, offering pretty lilacs, berries, nude browns, peaches, and soft pinks. This is one of my fave blushes of all time.

The TYMO CurlGo is a great styling tool for soft, bouncy curls or silky waves. Although I wish the curls lasted longer, I love the results: elegant, classy curls with minimal effort. The curler does all of the hard work for you, as the barrel auto-rotates your hair in the wand. Once you get the hang of using the device, the CurlGo truly is easy to use.

The Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5 SPF50+ (20% off at LookFantastic with LFTFBLOGSARAH) is one of the best sunscreens I’ve ever tried. No white cast, no sticky feeling, and it absorbs instantly. It’s lightweight, hydrating, and refreshing. It layers over skincare products without pilling and sits underneath makeup without disturbing it. This SPF50 also has a cooling sensation on application, so it’s refreshing to use on a hot day. I’d repurchase this in an instant.

As 2024 has finished, I wanted to share my fave beauty products from the year. Some of these products were new launches in 2024, but most were just new to me.

These are the products that I’m reaching for the most. They make my skin look and feel healthy, smell incredible, enable effortless and beautiful makeup looks, and are simply a joy to work with. As with all the previous years, I had a hard time narrowing down this list to my absolute faves, as I tried loads of excellent beauty products in 2024, but I managed to come up with the following list.

The r.e.m. beauty x Wicked Ozdust Eyeshadow Palette has quickly become one of my fave eyeshadow palettes. It’s a playful palette, with icy blues, vibrant pinks, forest greens, glittering golds, and multichrome beauty. There’s a trio of great neutral shades alongside a decent mix of warm and cool tones. The mattes are soft, easy to blend, and buildable. But the shimmers are the true standouts. You need to apply them with your fingertips to get the most out of them, but they’re richly pigmented, incredibly sparkly, and long-wearing. This palette inspires me to be creative and play around with different colours.

The Mixsoon Bean Essence (get 10% off at Refresh Skincare with AWOMANSCONFIDENCE) is a fantastic skincare find. This Korean skincare product does a great job of making skin smoother and more radiant. It gently exfoliates the skin with pomegranate enzyme, which isn’t irritating and is a perfect option for sensitive skin. This means I can use the essence frequently, without worrying that it’ll cause a rosacea flare-up. Since using this, my skin texture is more even.

The Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (get 20% off at LookFantastic with LFTFBLOGSARAH) has become a staple in my self-care routine. This gorgeous body moisturiser is rich and sumptuous, without being greasy. A little bit of product goes a long way, so you only need a small amount to nourish your skin. The scent is so addictive. It’s sweet, with notes of pistachio, almond, vanilla, and salted caramel. I can’t stop reaching for it.

The Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer (get 15% off at Sephora with SARAHSSPH) is iconic in the makeup community. I can’t believe it took me so long to try it! This concealer is very full coverage. A tiny dot is enough to do your entire under-eye area. It gives a very airbrushed and smooth finish. If you have any blemishes, dark circles, spots, or redness, this product will instantly smooth over them for an even complexion. This is my go-to for brightening my under eyes.

The Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer (get 15% off at Sephora with SARAHSSPH) has quickly become one of my fave primers. It’s tacky, which provides a lot of grip for base products to stick to. It helps my makeup stay in place all day and last longer. A pea-sized amount is enough to cover my entire face, and I love its cooling and refreshing feeling on the skin.

The Better Not Younger Lift Me Up Hair Thickener (get 10% off with SARAH10) is a brilliant volumising hairspray. I spritz this onto my damp hair after a shower, letting it dry naturally, which gives it more lift and body. My hair is naturally very straight and smooth, but this product makes it feel thicker and provides more grip.

The Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Serum (get 20% off at LookFantastic with LFTFBLOGSARAH) is one of the best retinol serums I’ve tried. It’s non-irritating, absorbs quickly, and is lightweight. I’ve been using this for several months, and it’s helped reduce some of my fine lines. The serum makes my skin feel firmer, gives it more elasticity, and overall makes it plumper. Plus, if I have any spots or rough texture the night before, by the morning, my skin is much smoother and the bumpiness is significantly reduced.

The Kayali Vanilla | 28 perfume (get 15% off at Sephora with SARAHSSPH) is probably my all-time fave. I’m a sucker for anything with a vanilla scent, and this perfume has the most addictive and sweet vanilla fragrance. It’s complex and sultry, with notes of jasmine, tonka, amber, brown sugar, patchouli, and musk. This is my go-to evening scent. Obsessed.

The Makeup by Mario Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil is such a lovely blush. It provides a glowy and sheer pop of colour to the cheeks, but it’s buildable so that you can achieve a more saturated finish. The formula is hydrating and smooth, with very small pearlescent pigments for non-shimmery radiance. The shades are gorgeous, and I love how healthy the blush makes my skin look. I don’t apply too much to avoid looking greasy, but this is a divine formula.

The AXIS-Y Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream is an innovative moisturiser to cater for your personalised skin needs. It contains 2 different moisturisers: 1 for your U-zone and 1 for your T-zone. The U-zone moisturiser (white) is thicker and creamier to provide more nourishment, while the T-zone moisturiser (blue) is a lightweight gel moisturiser that’s designed for oilier areas of the skin. Both moisturisers are fantastic, and it’s perfect for customising my skincare routine.

The Mallows Beauty Shave Butter is a fantastic TikTok find. These shave butters are creamy, come in a fantastic range of scents, and are kind to the skin. They leave my skin feeling nourished, soft, and smooth post-shave.

The YSL NU Bare Look Tint has quickly become one of my fave skin tints. It offers medium coverage and has a skin-like finish. This formula is also flexible. You can mix it with a liquid highlighter for a glowy effect or pair it with a mattifying primer for a matte look. Either way, this tint plays beautifully with other products without pilling. It’s lightweight, non-greasy, and seamlessly evens out the complexion. It layers and blends effortlessly.

The CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2 (get 10% off with CONFIDENCE) is easily the best LED face mask I’ve tried. This powerful mask reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and redness; makes skin glowy; and improves skin texture. It’s a comfortable fit that’s flexible, adjustable, and lightweight, unlike many other LED devices on the market that can be heavy or uncomfortable. This skincare device delivers serious results.

The Chanel Le Crayon Lèvres Longwear Lip Pencil is great. It’s long-lasting, creamy, and easy to blend. It’s firm enough that it doesn’t just blend away into nothing if you blend the edges but still feels moisturising and comfortable. The lip liner sharpens well without breaking so you can always get precise lines. I love it.

The Zelens Z-22 Ultimate Face Oil (get 20% off at LookFantastic with LFTFBLOGSARAH) is fab. This face oil is rich without being heavy or greasy. It provides nourishment overnight and leaves my skin feeling super soft, hydrated, and healthy. It’s been a while since I’ve found a face oil that I love, but this one ticks all the boxes.

The Patrick Ta Major Dimensions III Major Matte Eyeshadow Palette is the perfect neutral matte palette. This palette has every staple matte shade you could ever want, with cool, neutral, and warm tones. Whether you want a natural wash of cream all over the lids or want to create a sultry dark brown eyeshadow look, this palette has it all. It’s so versatile and wearable that I reach for it often. The eyeshadows themselves blend effortlessly, have very little fallout, are easy to build, feel velvety smooth, and stay put all day. Plus, the two cream formulas (brown and black) are ideal for creating precise, winged eyeliner.

The Perricone MD Vitamin C Ester CCC+ Ferulic Brightening Complex 20% (get 20% off with PMDM20) is a clinically proven vitamin C formula. This powerful, science-backed serum has helped even out my skin tone and made my skin smoother and more radiant. It’s lightweight, fast-absorbing, and doesn’t pill.

The r.e.m. beauty Lustrous Liquid Eyeshadow in Fembot is one of the prettiest eyeshadows I’ve ever tried. This duochrome liquid eyeshadow has the most incredible iridescent flip, shifting from a sparkling purple and pink to an intense glittery blue. It’s totally unique, easy to blend for a wash of shimmer or intense pigmentation, and is long-wearing. I can apply it just as easily with my fingertips or a fluffy brush. I get so many compliments when I wear this eyeshadow!

The Wild Natural Deodorant is the best natural and eco-friendly deodorant I’ve tried. The metal cases are sustainable and really pretty. And the deodorant refills are fantastic, as there’s a great range of scents – including an unscented version for sensitive skin – and they really work to keep you fresh and odour-free all day. The formula is smooth and creamy so that there’s no tugging on your skin when you apply it.

The Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun Kissed Glow Bronzer is one of my fave cream bronzers. Firstly, the compact is massive, so you get a lot of value for your money, and it means you can dip a big fluffy brush into the pan. Secondly, I love the formula. It’s creamy but not slippery where if you blend out the product it disappears. Instead, the formula has the perfect balance between being moisturising and gripping. I love the shade Medium, as it’s not orange, so it gives a gorgeous sunkissed glow to the skin. This makes my skin look healthy and bronzed.

The brand has some of the best matte shades in a comfortable, long-wearing, and non-drying formula. MAC says the reformulation is silkier and smoother than before.

Chili is a beautiful warm brick red. As it’s got a brown undertone, it’s surprisingly wearable. It’s my fave red lipstick, because it’s flattering and versatile. The brown-red tone looks gorgeous during the autumn.

4. Clinique Pop Plush Creamy Lip Gloss in Black Honey Pop

The Clinique Pop Plush Creamy Lip Gloss is quite pigmented for a lip gloss, offering medium and buildable coverage. It’s non-sticky, hydrating, comfortable, and gives lips a lovely shine.

Black Honey Pop is Clinique’s iconic Black Honey shade in a lip gloss formula – a flattering brown berry that looks great on all skin tones. The shade is vibrant and gives autumnal, cosy vibes.

The Romand Glasting Water Tint is like a very lightweight lip gloss. It’s sheer, non-sticky, and moisturising. The colour payoff lasts surprisingly well for a gloss-like formula. This Korean option is quite different to anything I’ve tried from Western beauty brands, as it coats lips in a watery glass shine that delivers a subtle stain.

#04 Vintage Ocean is deep reddish brown. It’s the perfect autumn lip colour because it evokes a cosy and warm mood.

6. Tom Ford Lip Colour in 69 Night Mauve

The Tom Ford Lip Colour is extremely pricey but one of my fave lipstick formulas of all time. The colour payoff is intensely saturated and vibrant, the satin formula is shiny and makes lips look smooth, it lasts all day without wearing off, and it’s very hydrating and comfortable on the lips. This is a statement lipstick that’s sure to give you endless compliments.

69 Night Mauve is a beautiful, mid-toned mauve tone. The stunning rich berry tone is ideal for autumn and evening wear.

7. Makeup by Mario SuperSatin Lipstick in Uptown Girl

The Makeup by Mario SuperSatin Lipstick is a new addition to my collection, and it’s stunning. The formula is smooth, shiny, comfortable, and moisturising. This product won’t sink into fine lines or dryness on the lips. Instead, it gives the appearance of full and hydrated lips. It’s also long-wearing for a satin formula.

Uptown Girl is a rusty orange-red that’s bold and pigmented. The shade is reminiscent of pumpkins, autumn leaves, and warming spices, making it an ideal autumn shade.

Makeup by Mario is cruelty-free and includes some vegan products.

Fuchsia Flex is the most incredible and ethereal gloss shade. It’s a beautiful multi-reflective deep fuchsia that delivers incredible holographic shine. The many different-coloured glitter particles uniquely capture the light. It’s definitely one of my fave gloss shades ever, as it’s just so different to anything I’ve seen!

Plus, it’s one of the most expensive lip oils in this post. However, it’s one of the most comfortable lip oils you’ll try.

It’s a must-have for when your lips are dry, chapped, or sore, as it helps relieve any discomfort and soothe soreness.

The lip oil adds a clear glossy sheen to the lips – there are no colour options. It’s not as weightless as some of the other formulas, but it’s not sticky and is long-wearing. This typically stays on the lips for around 4-5 hours before needing to reapply.

The e.l.f. lip oil also feels quite refreshing thanks to a fresh, minty scent. If you’re not a fan of minty lip products, this is one to avoid!

It comes in 7 different tints, which vary in pigmentation levels from transparent and soft pink to a deeper berry and warm honey brown. All of the tints are pretty light. The large applicator means just 2 swipes will cover lips in a breeze.

Paramount is a deep reddish-brown tone with a satin finish. It’s rich, pigmented, and gives a vampy lip. It’s long-wearing, comfortable, and flattering, as the formula is hydrating and smoothing, so it doesn’t cling to dry patches or sink into the lines on your lips.

Out of the 90s lipsticks in this post, Paramount is my fave. It’s a gorgeous, bold colour that’s perfect for autumn/winter. Paramount is one of those universal shades that suits just about every skin tone.

2. Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick in Rum Raisin

Revlon’s iconic Rum Raisin shade has also been around since the 90s. However, the shade is now available in the newer Super Lustrous Glass Shine formula, which provides light but buildable coverage in a hydrating glossy finish.

The Revlon Super Lustrous Glass Shine Lipstick in Rum Raisin is described as being a brown/nude shade. However, on me, this shade leans quite pink with subtle berry undertones. This is a really pretty spring shade, as it’s quite bright and gives a fresh appearance.

The formula is fab. It’s very shiny and soft without being sticky or thick. The lipstick glides on effortlessly and makes my lips feel moisturised and comfortable. An initial swipe provides light colour payoff, but it can be built up to medium intensity with a few layers.

Of course, as the lipstick has a glossy finish, this doesn’t last for long on the lips and requires reapplying. However, as the lipstick is budget friendly, this can be forgiven!

3. Peaches & Cream 1999 Lip Gloss

The Peaches & Cream 1999 Lip Gloss is the most affordable lipstick in this post. This pretty lip gloss is a mid-toned cool brown that gives a quintessential 90s look when paired with a deep brown lip liner.

I love this lip gloss. It’s hydrating, fairly thick, and delivers strong pigmentation. Most lip glosses are quite sheer, and I frequently use them as toppers over a lipstick if I’m looking for a particular shade. However, as this lipstick delivers a saturated colour payoff, I can skip lipstick altogether in 1 convenient swipe.

It’s a tiny bit sticky, but nothing annoying or uncomfortable, and transfers fairly easily. But this lip gloss reapplies like a dream and is so convenient to use. Plus, at under £7, you really can’t complain!

The nude brown shade works with a tonne of makeup looks and is very versatile. I find myself wanting to wear this lip gloss often because the shade is stunning.

2023 was another fantastic year of makeup and skincare launches. Particularly makeup launches, as there have been so many beautiful products I’ve wanted to buy. While not every product in this post was released this year, many of these products were new to me.

As today is the last day of 2023, I wanted to close the year with the best makeup and skincare products. These are products I constantly wear, make my skin look and feel amazing, and continue to impress me. I had a hard time narrowing it down to these products, but these are my standout beauty products of 2023.

Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm

This neutral eyeshadow palette is so wearable, as the tones work for everyday makeup likes but can be dialled up for more glam night-time looks. I use every single shade in the palette and love how versatile it is. The formulas are lovely, soft, easy to blend, and non-patchy. And the glossy shimmers are insane. They look wet and so sparkly on the eyes. They’re simply the best.

I’ve purchased a lot of blushes this year, and there have been so many incredible launches in 2023 in general. But the Patrick Ta Major Headlines Double-Take Crème and Powder Blush Duo is my fave. This gorgeous duo comes with a powder and cream shade. The cream is smooth, dewy, and blends effortlessly. The powder is soft, buttery, and highly pigmented. They layer on top of one another beautifully and last all day.

I’ve got the shade She’s a Doll, which is a gorgeous bright pink duo that gives a fresh-faced look every single time. I love both formulas equally. There’s a reason why you see this blush all over your feed.

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base

The Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm needs no introduction. I think this might just be my fave beauty product of 2023. Obsession is an understatement. They smell divine, feel thick and luxe, aren’t sticky whatsoever, deliver dewy tints to the lips, repair any dryness, and leave lips feeling hydrated and soft. You can wear them on their own, as the shades are subtle, or as part of a makeup look for a clean girl aesthetic. All I want to do is wear these all the time because they’re just so good.

Saie Glowy Super Gel

I love the Saie Glowy Super Gel. This gorgeous liquid highlighter is very versatile. You can mix it with your moisturiser for added glow, mix it with your primer or foundation to amp up the dewyness, or apply it to the high points of the face like a traditional highlighter. No matter how you use it, the highlighter always works.

As the highlighter has a transparent gel base, it mixes well with other products. It’s not glittery at all and instead offers a gorgeous luminous finish. It doesn’t emphasise texture or cling to dry patches. I love how light it feels on my oily skin too, as it doesn’t feel greasy throughout the day, even when I mix it with my foundation.

Rhode Glazing Milk

I’ve fallen in love with the Rhode Glazing Milk. This lightweight essence has a milky texture that’s super hydrating and non-greasy. It provides a beautiful glow and makes my skin feel smooth, soft, and healthy. It’s perfect skin prep for makeup application too, as it provides deep moisture so that base products don’t cling to dry patches.

Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation

It probably won’t come as a surprise that the popular Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation has made it into my best makeup and skincare products in 2023. This foundation broke the internet. And with good reason. It offers a natural second-skin finish, feels comfortable, doesn’t emphasise pores and texture, is very long-lasting, delivers an excellent shade range, and offers hydration.

I love how customisable the foundation is too. You can apply it over a mattifying primer, and it won’t look dry, or you can mix it with a highlighter for added radiance, and it won’t separate. I just love it.

Chanel Rouge Coco Flash in 54 Boy

The Chanel Rouge Coco Flash in 54 Boy is such a unique shade. It looks quite grey in the packaging, but it’s actually a neutral pink with subtle gold and silver shimmer particles. It offers a gorgeous comfortable balm texture with a luminous finish. Of course, the glossy nature of this lipstick means it wears off quite quickly, but I love the shade. It’s so subtle but delivers an instant ‘put together’ look. I find this works with most makeup looks.

facetheory Ocuwake Eye Cream EYE1 PRO

I find that a lot of eye creams don’t provide many benefits beyond being hydrating. But I’ve seen multiple benefits from the facetheory Ocuwake Eye Cream EYE1 PRO. It’s moisturising, brightens the under-eye area, and mildly reduces the appearance of dark circles. The eye cream is lightweight and absorbent, so it plays well with other skincare products.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

The Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara (LFTFBLOGSARAH for 20% off) went viral on social media in 2022, but I only got around to trying it in 2023. And I can see what the hype is about! I’ve got the Cosmic Black version, and it’s dark and dramatic. I love how much length this adds to my lashes without the formula becoming clumpy, feeling dry, or going flaky. It’s very smudge-proof, as the formula isn’t too wet.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

I tried the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (LFTFBLOGSARAH for 20% off) a few years ago in the Berry scent and didn’t understand the hype. But I recently tried the Mango scent and can see why it’s so popular. When I don’t use this for a few days, my lips become noticeably drier. This overnight lip balm is so good at nourishing lips, repairing any dryness, and soothing sore patches. It smells divine too. The texture is a little sticky, but it’s no issue when I’m asleep.

It’s easy to build up the intensity, as it’s not so pigmented that it becomes tricky to use. If you apply too much product, you can simply buff it out. The application is foolproof and just works.
