For October 2022, I’m discussing my 5 fave beauty products featuring a K-beauty classic, top-rated mascara, TikTok-viral makeup, and new discoveries.

I’m not sure how I’ve managed to do it, but I’ve got my October 2022 beauty faves post written up while moving house. You can’t say I’m not dedicated lol. Or maybe I’m just crazy. It’s one of the two.

Keep reading to see why these 5 makeup and skincare products have made the cut this month. I had a staggering number of products to choose from in October, so these ones really are good!

1. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops*

$34/£31 for 40ml

I’m addicted to the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops.

This beautiful serum is radiant, bright, and healthy skin in a bottle. Whether I use this as a serum or mix it in with a moisturiser, this product instantly makes my skin more luminous. And it looks so natural too! It’s giving lit-from-within vibes, and I’m obsessed.

As well as making my complexion dewier, this serum contains the powerhouse ingredient niacinamide, so it not only makes my skin look great, but it improves it too. It layers really well with other skincare products and doesn’t feel oily or sticky on my skin.

Honestly, if you’re into the whole glass skin trend or simply love glossy-looking skin, you need this serum. See the full INCI list and a thorough review of this serum in this post.

I can’t fault this uber-lightweight and absorbent skincare. Unreal.

2. Made By Mitchell Bronzed Blursh Liquid Bronzer

£16 for 6ml

If you’re on TikTok, you’ve probably seen the brand Made by Mitchell everywhere because of the incredible discounts.

I picked up the Made By Mitchell Bronzed Blursh Liquid Bronzer in 2 shades. My fave shade is Shady Business, which is pictured above, and it’s great. The bronzer blends into the skin seamlessly and can be layered infinitely.

I actually love using Shady Business as a natural contour option, as it’s got neutral undertones. However, it also works really nicely as a bronzer, especially when paired with a peach blusher. The finish is subtle and skin-like. This liquid bronzer works well when paired with other liquid or cream makeup products.

My only criticism of this liquid bronzer is that it’s hard to be super precise with application due to the formula. It spreads quickly and works far better with a beauty blender than a brush. I personally find it hard to get fine control with a beauty blender, so this is more of an all-over colour for me. Despite this, I still really enjoy this liquid bronzer, especially when I’m rushed for time, as it blends so easily.

The Made By Mitchell Bronzed Blursh Liquid Bronzer is so good.

3. Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

£16 for 177ml

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser image

The Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser has been around for quite a long time, but I’ve only just gotten around to trying it. And I can see why this it’s so popular!

I use this vegan and cruelty-free cleanser for my morning cleanse. I apply it to dry skin, and the creamy gel formula simply glides over my skin. It feels really soft and hydrating. Once I’ve massaged the product into my skin, I simply rinse it off with water. The result? Hydrated, cleansed, smooth, and refreshed skin.

If my skin is ever feeling a bit dehydrated or sensitive, I’d opt for this cleanser. It’s gentle and moisturising, so it gives my skin that extra TLC. With all of the central heating I’ve been using recently, this is just what my skin needs!

I’d happily buy the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser again!

4. Too Faced Damn Girl! 24-Hour Mascara

£19.75 with my code LFTFBLOGSARAH

Too Faced Damn Girl! 24-Hour Mascara image

The Too Faced Damn Girl! 24-Hour Mascara is fab.

This volumising mascara instantly makes my lashes look fuller, fluffier, and blacker. Although it looks great with any makeup look, this mascara is particularly perfect for a dramatic smoky eye. The mascara isn’t clumpy and lasts all day. Plus, the formula is nice and soft!

This mascara does smudge a little bit throughout the day around my under-eyes, but it’s nothing bad! It’s nowhere near as bad as some mascaras I’ve tried in the past. Nothing a cotton bud can’t fix.

I wish this mascara was lengthening. However, I’ve come to realise that I prefer lengthening mascaras over volumising ones – just a preference and nothing wrong with the formula at all!

5. Skinician Revitalising Day Moisturiser SPF30*

£21.25 with my code SARAHBLOG15

Skinician Revitalising Day Moisturiser SPF30 image

The final product in my October beauty faves is the Skinician Revitalising Day Moisturiser.

This rosacea-friendly moisturiser is lovely. It’s creamy without being too rich, lightweight, absorbent, hydrating, nourishing, calming, and soothing. And if those pros weren’t enough, this moisturiser also contains SPF30 for that extra sun protection!

I really enjoy the texture of this moisturiser. It makes my skin soft and moisturised without ever feeling greasy. I hate moisturisers that are too thick, as it makes my oily skin feel too greasy and uncomfortable. But this one has a gorgeous silky texture. Plus, it’s gentle, which is great for my rosacea-prone skin.

Final thoughts on my October 2022 beauty faves

And that’s my October beauty faves finished! If I could only recommend one product from this post, it would have to be the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops. They’re 100% worth the hype. But all of the products in this post are great!
