Bali Body Shimmering Body Oil first impressions

For today’s post, I’m going to be sharing my first impressions of the Bali Body Shimmering Body Oil, which is a highly-rated product.

I was lucky enough to have Bali Body reach out and gift me some products for review purposes. I’ve reviewed the Bali Body BB Cream and the Bali Body SPF in previous blog posts, so it was time to try the last product that was gifted to me. As the products have been gifted to me, this means all thoughts are my own, as always.

The two Bali Body products I’ve tried so far have been incredible. I’ve loved using them and they’ve proved excellent additions to my skincare collection.

After having a wonderful experience with the other products, here are my first impressions of the Bali Body Shimmering Body Oil. I hope you enjoy the post!

What is Bali Body?

Bali Body is an Australian, vegan-friendly beauty company which aims to provide products that are nourishing and beneficial to the skin. The company is famous for its tanning products, but it also does a nice range of skincare and suncare products.

Product ingredients and claims

The Shimmering Body Oil is hydrating with hints of gold and bronze shimmer for a glowy, bronzed sheen. According to Bali Body, it’s lightweight, fast-drying and great for nights out.

The product can be used all over your body and also on your face for a cute highlighter. For the best results, leave the oil to dry onto your skin for 5-10 minutes before putting on clothes.

Some of the key ingredients within the Shimmering Body Oil are:

• Coconut: A protective natural oil that’s great for skin rejuvenation and a glowing look
• Jojoba: Which helps fight facial lines, skin scarring and fatty tissue. A great skin-repairing ingredient
• Grape seed: A multi-purpose ingredient that moisturises, tightens the skin and reduces dark under-eye circles
• Shimmer dust: gold and bronze shimmer particles for a bronzed, shimmery glow

First impressions

Shimmering body oils have been all the rage recently with countless beauty brands releasing different formulas. It started off with Fenty Beauty bringing back the glowing skin trend, which catapulted a load of other companies into releasing their own versions.

I actually made a DIY shimmering body oil a few months back, but it didn’t turn out so well, so I was curious to see how a reputable brand’s product would compare.

To be honest, you can definitely see a difference.

Even though I didn’t put much of the Bali Body Shimmering Body Oil on my arm, you could see a subtle bronzey-gold shimmer which looked really pretty. It’s not too in-your-face either and looks more natural, which I prefer. However, it does shimmer beautifully when it catches the light.

The product also smells divine thanks to the coconut oil. It’s fresh and sweet, which just adds that extra luxurious touch to the product.

It also seemed to dry pretty quickly and easily, as I’ve used products in the past which stay sticky and tacky (I’m looking at you fake tan), which gets your clothes messed up. I don’t see this shimmering oil transferring, though.

All in all, my first impressions of the Bali Body are great! I can’t wait to slather myself in it during Christmas for a stunning, shimmery glow.

The Shimmering Body Oil is really cute and gives a lovely shimmering glow, I can’t wait to use it over the festive period!
