Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+ The Intensive Gel Mask review
£82 for 59ml
About the gel mask
The Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+ The Intensive Gel Mask is supposed to be ultra-hydrating for healthy, youthful-looking skin. Skin is meant to feel refreshed, moisturised, soft, and smooth after use. It’s fragrance-free.
Apply the mask liberally to clean, dry skin, leave on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Use as needed.
Some of the key ingredients include the antioxidant beetroot extract, a variety of skin barrier-strengthening peptides, hydrating glycerin, and the emollient (softens or soothes skin) caprylic/capric triglyceride.
Clinical trial results
In a clinical study of 31 women, 90% showed significant improvement in skin hydration immediately after application and 7 days.
In a clinical study of 31 women after 4 weeks, 96% showed a significant reduction in rough skin texture, and 90% showed significant improvement in skin brightness and radiance.
Honest thoughts
I’ve used the Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+ The Intensive Gel Mask once since receiving it and was impressed with the results.
Firstly, it has a satisfying thick gel texture. Think gel moisturiser but gloopier. I find it really fun to apply this consistency over my skin. And it spreads surprisingly evenly across the skin with a gentle massage.
This doesn’t dry down like a clay mask does. Instead, it stays as a gel on your skin until you wash it off. It rinses away effortlessly without any harsh scrubbing or leaving a stubborn residue.
After using the mask, my skin felt instantly nourished, rejuvenated, and smoother. It made my skin look more radiant and feel softer. These effects were noticeable and gave my skin some much-needed TLC.
While I think this is an effective gel mask and meets its claims, it’s expensive for what it is, especially as you wash the product off. I wouldn’t personally spend £82 on it, but I’m happy with the results and will reach for it whenever my skin needs a hydration boost.

Is the mask worth the money?
Overall, I think the gel mask is lovely and a fab treat, but it’s expensive for what it is. However, if you want to treat yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
