I’m a massive fan of Korean skincare brands. They offer some of the best, most effective, and affordable skincare products.
I’ve been testing a few products from K-beauty brand Dēpology for 1 month. This skincare brand is all about innovative and science-backed formulas for healthy, glowing skin.
But does Dēpology stand out from the crowd, or are there better skincare products on the market? I share my honest thoughts, with before and after photos, in this review.
Products in this review
I’m reviewing the following 3 products in this post:
Below, I share my honest thoughts on each product and then move on to share some before and after photos along with my overall Dēpology review.
1. Dēpology Matrixyl 3000 Collagen Serum
£32.29 for 30ml
The Dēpology Matrixyl 3000 Collagen Serum targets wrinkles and fine lines and makes skin plump, radiant, and hydrated.
Our formula, which is powered by Matrixyl® 3000, has demonstrated to improve fine lines by 5.25% and increase hydration by 46.31% within 28 days, resulting in plumper younger-looking skin.

It’s also formulated with peptides, which give the skin more elasticity and make it firmer and plumper; hydrating hyaluronic acid and glycerin; soothing aloe vera; skin-conditioning collagen extract; and more. You can use the serum twice daily. Apply to cleansed, dry skin.
For the last month, I’ve used this collagen serum about 3 times a week. I’ve alternated between using it in the day and at night, but I typically apply this as part of my nighttime skincare routine.
Overall, I think this is a decent serum. It boasts a strong INCI list and makes my skin feel hydrated and a bit plumper. The serum adds a little radiance, but I wouldn’t describe this as a glowy serum. It doesn’t really make much of a change to the appearance of my skin but rather the feeling of my skin.
As far as targeting fine lines and wrinkles, I’m 28 with few signs of ageing on my skin. I’ve not noticed any difference in the appearance of fine lines on my face since using this serum. However, I’ve not been using this serum every day, and because I don’t have many fine lines – and the ones I do have aren’t particularly prominent or deep – the serum was never going to make a huge difference to the look of my skin.
I’m confident that on more mature skin or people who have lost elasticity and firmness in their skin, this serum would make a noticeable difference.
Rating: 3.5 stars
It’s a decent serum, but I’m probably not the target audience for this one.
2. Dēpology Replenish & Repair Under Eye Patches
£29.06 for 60 patches
The Dēpology Replenish & Repair Under Eye Patches claim to hydrate, nourish, and improve the appearance of the skin under the eyes. After applying a patch under each eye to clean, dry skin and leaving it for 10-15 minutes, the skin is supposed to appear plump, brighter, and supple while feeling hydrated and rejuvenated.
Each eye patch is formulated with ceramides to strengthen the skin’s barrier, hyaluronic acid and glycerin for hydration, antioxidant protection blueberry extract, skin-conditioning algae extract, and more.
I really like these eye patches and love using them on a pampering night in or for #selfcaresunday.
After using the eye patches, my skin instantly feels more hydrated, smoother, and supple, while appearing plumper and more radiant. While they don’t get rid of dark circles, because the skin looks plumper and smoother, this gives a more radiant appearance, which reduces the look of any tiredness around the eyes.
As each eye patch is nourishing and smoothing, they’re very good at reducing any puffiness around the eyes. If the skin around my eyes is ever a bit sore or swollen, this is a very quick and simple fix to that problem!
Rating: 4.5 stars
Overall, I’m very impressed with these Korean skincare eye patches.
3. Dēpology Retinol Anti-Aging Night Cream
£48.43 for 50ml
The Dēpology Retinol Anti-Aging Night Cream is supposed to improve the visible texture of the skin, the look of fine lines, and the appearance of age spots. It claims to be nourishing and conditioning, without feeling greasy. This moisturiser is meant to leave a youthful and rejuvenated appearance with continued use.
It contains 0.5% pure retinol (aka vitamin A), which is the gold standard when it comes to reducing fine lines and wrinkles on the skin. This hero ingredient also helps regulate sebum production and makes skin firmer, smoother, and tighter. Dēpology’s night cream also incorporates hydrating glycerin, the powerhouse ingredient niacinamide, soothing vitamin E, and more.
My skin typically tolerates retinol products well. However, as I’ve got rosacea, I still have to be careful because certain formulas can still aggravate my rosacea.
Dēpology’s formula, thankfully, is very tolerable and doesn’t make my skin sensitive. I find the formula hydrating and smoothing, and it absorbs instantly. It’s definitely not greasy or heavy, which makes it ideal for people with oily or combination skin.
If my skin ever feels a bit oily or I get a few breakouts, this is my go-to product. By morning, my skin stops feeling oily, any breakouts are massively reduced or gone completely, and overall my skin feels smoother and looks brighter. As it’s not overly thick, the moisturiser is very comfortable too.
I’ve been using this about twice a week – my normal procedure for any retinol product – for the last month. Honestly, I’ve not seen any difference in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on my skin. But I appreciate that retinol products can take 12 weeks to work their magic.
It’s worth noting that I’ve hardly got any fine lines on my skin. So – just like with the peptide serum – the difference was never going to be crazy. This is true for most retinol products I’ve tried – they typically benefit my skin in all other ways besides improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

It’s a great night cream that improves the look and feel of my skin by morning.
Before and after photos
To show whether the Dēpology skincare products have made a noticeable difference to the look of my skin, I took some before and after photos. The before photos were taken prior to using any of the K-beauty products. The after photos were taken immediately after using the eye patches and peptide serum, and I’d used the retinol a few nights prior. Both photos are completely unedited for an unfiltered look at my skin.
It’s quite hard with before and after photos, as the lighting inevitably varies unless you take the photos on the same day. I think my under-eyes look a bit brighter in the after photo, thanks to the lovely eye patches. However, besides that, there’s no difference in the appearance of my skin.
Is Dēpology worth it? Overall brand review
I think Dēpology is worth it. The brand offers strong INCI lists, reasonable prices, tolerable and effective formulas, and products that make skin healthy and radiant. While the after photos don’t show much of a difference in my skin, the products definitely improve the feeling of my skin. The eye patches and retinol cream, in particular, have become staples in my daily routine.
I think the eye patches look so cool in that shade of blue thanks to the blueberry extract in there! The retinol also sounds really good. I have mild rosacea, so my skin can also react to some formulas, but it’s good to know you found this one gentle enough while still being effective.
