In today’s blog post, I’m going to be sharing my thoughts on a brand-new autumn-themed skincare line: Pumpkin & Spice.
When Pumpkin & Spice reached out and asked if I wanted to try some products from the new skincare line, I jumped at the opportunity. I love trying out new skincare products and when I found out that this was an autumn-themed skincare range, I was even more excited. I love everything that comes with autumn, whether it’s pumpkin-spiced lattes or Halloween, you can count me in.
The brand has kindly gifted me its Ultimate Skincare Day Bundle to try for review purposes, but my thoughts remain honest and unbiased, as always.

Pumpkin & Spice Clay Face Mask
£36/$47
Product claims
According to Pumpkin & Spice, the Clay Face Mask tightens your pores and helps to reduce skin inflammation, breakouts and acne. It also claims to keep your skin youthful, soft, and wrinkle-free.
The Pumpkin & Spice Clay Face Mask detoxifies, brightens, and tightens your skin and smells like a delicious pumpkin spice latte!
Pumpkin & Spice
Key ingredients
Key ingredients in the Pumpkin & Spice Clay Face Mask include:
- Kaolin clay: a naturally occurring clay mineral known for its absorbing properties, making it a popular choice for people with oily skin
- Glycerin: helps to hydrate the skin
- Chamomile: known for its soothing and calming properties
- Shea butter: nourishes the skin
My thoughts
I’ve really enjoyed using this clay face mask. It smells absolutely divine, with a distinct cinnamon scent. After using this mask, my skin feels softer, smoother, more hydrated and looks brighter.
Recently, I’ve not had many problems with my skin, so I don’t feel I can give a fair assessment as to how well this product would perform in terms of breakouts. However, considering it contains kaolin clay, I think it would be effective in clearing up spots.
I’d certainly challenge the “wrinkle-free” claim, though. This face mask doesn’t contain vitamin A, for instance, so I doubt it would have any anti-ageing benefits. Although, I think the mask would be fantastic for oilier skin types.
In terms of sensitive skin, this face mask doesn’t feel stripping whatsoever. But, the mask does contain a lot of oils and fragrance, so it could potentially be irritating.
Rating: 4 stars
I really like this face mask. It’s nothing exceptional, but I’m glad I’ve tried it. However, the scent is amazing.
Pumpkin & Spice Day Moisturizer Lotion
£35/$45
Product claims
The Pumpkin & Spice Day Moisturizer aims to keep your skin soft, hydrated, and youthful throughout the day. It also claims to be suitable for all skin types.
Firms, brightens and deeply moisturises the skin, while reducing fine lines and wrinkles
Pumpkin & Spice
Key ingredients
Some of the key ingredients in this moisturiser are:
- Safflower seed oil: contains beneficial fatty acids, primarily linolenic acid, that can help diminish signs and occurrence of dry skin
- Dimethicone: forms a permeable barrier that works to prevent moisture loss and impart a silky feel to the skin
- Pumpkin seed extract: an excellent source of vitamin E
- Chamomile: to calm and soothe the skin
My thoughts
Out of the entire Pumpkin & Spice skincare collection, the moisturiser smells the best. It’s spicy, warm and cosy, and reminds me of a comforting chai tea latte. I’m obsessed with its gorgeous fragrance.
The moisturiser is lightweight and absorbent. For this reason, I think people with oilier skin will particularly enjoy this product, as it never feels greasy or sticky. In my eyes, this is a perfect everyday moisturiser.
I don’t think the moisturiser is wildly nourishing, though. For me, this is absolutely fine as I’m happy to use a lighter moisturiser in the day and apply more product if need be. However, I think drier skin types might find this to be a bit lacking and will probably want a more nourishing moisturiser.
I’ve used moisturisers I prefer but this is a great daily moisturiser. £35 for 100ml is on the pricey side, but as part of the bundle, I think it forms part of a good deal.
Rating: 4 stars
Love love love the fragrance, but it didn’t blow me away. I think this moisturiser would be best suited for summer when the weather is warmer and you want something that won’t feel heavy on your skin.
Pumpkin & Spice Facial Scrub Exfoliator
£35/$45
Product claims
The Pumpkin & Spice Facial Scrub helps nourish and renew the tone and texture of your skin.
Pumpkin & Spice
Providing gentle exfoliation, Pumpkin & Spice says its facial scrub reduces pores, skin inflammation, breakouts and acne. As per the rest of the skincare bundle, it also claims to be suitable for all skin types.
Key ingredients
- Sweet almond oil: treats dry skin and improves complexion and skin tone
- Glycerin: to hydrate the skin
- Safflower seed oil: contains beneficial fatty acids, primarily linolenic acid, that can help diminish signs and occurrence of dry skin
My thoughts
Interestingly, some of the key ingredients in the Pumpkin & Spice Facial Scrub Exfoliator are hydrating and nourishing, which I imagine is to offset the fact that this a mechanical exfoliator.
Personally, I’m not impressed with this exfoliator. It doesn’t really do anything for me. I wouldn’t say it’s particularly harsh and whilst it does feel fairly gentle on the skin, I’d much rather use a chemical exfoliator. I’ve pretty much always found chemical exfoliators do more for my skin than mechanical exfoliators (with the exception of the ARK Skincare Triple Action Exfoliator).
Out of the spiced skincare collection, the exfoliator has the faintest scent.
I definitely don’t think this facial scrub renews the tone and texture of your skin. I think an AHA or BHA would be better for this.
Rating: 2.5 stars
This exfoliator is below average in my eyes and definitely isn’t worth £35. It’s not horrible, it just doesn’t do much either. But I’m so grateful that Pumpkin & Spice allowed me to try this exfoliator!
Pumpkin & Spice Jelly Cleanser
£44/$57
Product claims
According to the company, the Pumpkin & Spice Jelly Cleanser gently removes all traces of makeup, excess oil and impurities to leave your skin clean and soft.
Claiming to be suitable for all skin types, the cleanser includes gentle foaming agents to cleanse and purify the skin. Pumpkin & Spice also says this jelly cleanser helps to reduce the appearance of pores, skin inflammation, breakouts and acne.
Key ingredients
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate: a mild cleansing and foaming agent. There is controversy around sulfates and whether they are too stripping and harsh for the skin
- Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate: another cleansing agent. See above
- Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate: mild detergent cleansing agent derived from coconut
- Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate: mild surfactant derived from coconut; often used in cleansers when the desired effect is a creamy foam
My thoughts
Considering the main ingredients in this jelly cleanser are cleansing and foaming agents, I don’t find this cleanser particularly gentle or hydrating.
Having said that, I personally find it satisfying to work gel cleansers into a foamy lather, even though I know they can be harsh on the skin. This cleanser definitely gives you that “squeaky clean” feeling. Again, I quite like this, but I definitely would prefer it if this cleanser felt gentler and more nourishing.
I use this cleanser for my morning cleanse or as my second cleanse in my evening double cleansing routine. A cleansing balm, butter, oil or milk will break down makeup and remove dirt easier than this jelly cleanser, so using this cleanser to remove makeup might result in a bit more elbow work that’s too harsh on your skin.
My skin doesn’t feel tight or stripped after using the jelly cleanser, but I don’t think this is suitable for people with sensitive skin. With continued use, I think more sensitive skin types will find this cleanser too harsh.
Again, the cleanser smells lovely, though. I think it would be best suited to younger or oilier skin types. Those looking for something refreshing, without feeling too heavy, will probably love this cleanser.
Rating: 3.5 stars
I like the Pumpkin & Spice Jelly Cleanser but I don’t love it. I prefer gel cleansers such as the ARK Age Protect Skin Clear Cleanser or the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel.
Face towel, face mask brush and travel bag
I’ve got to say, the face mask brush and face towel are absolutely delightful! The face towel is silky soft and removed my makeup like a dream, without feeling like I’d scrubbed my skin to death. It was honestly such a pleasant surprise and it’s definitely the best face towel I’ve ever used. Heavenly.
The face mask brush is soft and flexible. It applies the Pumpkin & Spice Face Mask easily and evenly across my face. Plus, rinsing the brush out after use is super easy. I will definitely use the brush to apply other face masks.
The travel bag is a cute extra. Once I start travelling again, I’ll be taking this little pouch away with me. It really ties the whole Ultimate Skincare Day Bundle together.
My thoughts on the Ultimate Skincare Day Bundle
This skincare bundle is a cute, gorgeously scented, basic range that is best suited to younger or oilier skin types.
I think the Ultimate Skincare Day Bundle would make a fantastic Christmas gift for somebody who’s just started getting into skincare of for somebody who loves autumn-themed products. The fragrance throughout this collection is completely unmatched and makes me feel warm and cosy.
This skincare set isn’t ground-breaking but I’ve definitely enjoyed using it. The moisturiser and face mask are the two standout products from the range and are worth checking out.
However, the towel and face mask brush that make up this set are also fantastic extras, so getting the bundle is worth it!
Favourite product from the bundle?
I really like the moisturiser. Although it’s not the most nourishing moisturiser out there, the fragrance is gorgeous and it works a treat under my heavier Medik8 Advanced Day Total Protect SPF30.
I also know this lightweight moisturiser would be an absolute dream for summertime when the weather is hotter and stickier.

Conclusion
I’m really happy I got to try out some of the Pumpkin & Spice skincare products. I love the autumn-themed range and the fragrance in each product is gorgeous.
This collection would be ideal for oilier skin types and would make a great gift for budding skincare enthusiasts.
I love the scent of this range, very warming and comforting. The packaging is nice and made me want to try it out.
I think this range sounds great for me and I often exfoliate with my drier skin but I also need to have light moisturisers to top up during the day. I can just imagine how unreal this range smells, too!
Reading this review I was cautiously optimistic when I saw “suitable for all skin types” however I am perplexed that the brand would make these claims given that all of the products are fragranced. Also, I know this sounds silly but I was expecting to see pumpkin in the ingredient lists given that it is such a trendy ingredient in skincare right now lol.
While I would pass on the whole kit, the mask sounds like something I’d love to try! Also, it looks like you get a fair bit of product!
Pumpkin seed oil is one of the key ingredients in all the products.
I’ve purchase this pumpkin spice range in the past, and found them to be a very high quality range of products. The scent is amazing, and definitely makes it feel like Fall throughout the year.
I love the scent it’s honestly the best
I feel like I can smell this through my phone! The packaging looks great, it look so luxe.
