If you’re wondering whether the Grow Gorgeous Intense hair thickening and hair growth range truly works, I share my honest thoughts in this review.
Grow Gorgeous is a premium, cruelty-free, and vegan hair care brand offering a diverse range of products for different hair types and concerns. The Intense range is the most popular from the brand, which is supposed to re-energise roots and stimulate strands for fuller, thicker hair that “looks and feels better than ever”.
I’m a bit sceptical of hair products that promise to make it thicker or grow quicker. It comes from years and years of brands making bold and unrealistic claims about their products promising miracle results that completely transform your hair.
After trying 4 hero products from the Grow Gorgeous Intense range for a few weeks, I was curious whether they’d make a difference to my fine, flat hair.

I received the following 4 Grow Gorgeous Intense hair products to review:
- Intense Thickening Shampoo
- Intense Thickening Conditioner
- Intense Thickening Hair & Scalp Mask
- Intense Hair Growth Serum
I’m diving into my thoughts on each product below before sharing my overall Grow Gorgeous brand review.
1. Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Shampoo
£16 for 250ml
The Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Shampoo is great.
This shampoo is designed to make fine hair look fuller and feel thicker, while gently cleansing the scalp, and it does exactly that.
The shampoo smells sweet but not overpowering. It has a rich, silky consistency that actually feels quite lightweight. The product lathers well, meaning you don’t need to use a lot for it to cover your entire scalp. I used the size of 2 £2 coins. It rinses out of hair easily.
I was concerned that the thick texture would weigh my hair down and make it greasier than usual. But it doesn’t make my hair feel oily at all. Instead, it makes my hair feel thicker. It also visibly adds more volume to my flat hair, which is very welcome. This volumising benefit stays for about 2 days before returning to my usual texture.
The shampoo doesn’t add as much volume or thickness as the Christophe Robin Volumising Paste, but it makes a noticeable difference to the look and feel of my hair.
Rating: 4 stars
2. Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Conditioner
£18 for 250ml
Just like the shampoo, the Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Conditioner is also very effective.
The conditioner promises to leave ends healthy, thick, fuller, and soft. You simply apply it to the ends of your hair, leave it for 1-2 minutes, and then rinse it out.
This also has a delicate sweet scent that leaves my hair smelling great. It has the same rich, silky consistency as the shampoo. I used the size of a 50p coin to coat the ends of my hair, and this was ample.
The conditioner makes my hair feel soft, smooth, and thicker. I don’t feel it adds as much volume as the shampoo, but then I always find that I get the most volume at the roots of my hair as opposed to the ends. It gives the ends of my hair more texture than usual, which gives it more grip for styling, while still feeling hydrated.
Rating: 4 stars
3. Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Hair & Scalp Mask
£25 for 200ml
The Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Hair & Scalp Mask is designed to thoroughly nourish hair while leaving it feeling thicker. After shampooing, you generously apply this rich mask from the roots through to the ends, leave it on for 10 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly.
I like this hair mask. It does a good job of nourishing my hair and leaving it feeling silky. I also think it makes my hair feel a bit thicker, but the Intense shampoo and conditioner improved my hair thickness more so than this mask.
Ultimately, I think this mask would be better for someone with fine, flat, and drier hair. This is a bit too heavy for my hair, as it made it greasier than usual. While my hair definitely felt softer after using this, it made my hair greasy after the first day of washing.
Rating: 3.5 stars
This mask is lovely, but I think people with an oily scalp like me might find this a bit too heavy.
4. Grow Gorgeous Intense Hair Growth Serum
£28 for 30ml
The Grow Gorgeous Intense Hair Growth Serum is one of the brand’s most popular products. It claims to deliver visibly fuller, thicker, and healthier-looking hair in as little as 4 weeks by increasing the thickness of each strand by up to 13%. This serum is designed for all hair types, not just for fine, flat hair like the other 3 products in this review.
You use this by applying 20 drops of the serum to towel-dried hair directly to the scalp and hairline, massaging it in, and smoothing the product through the lengths of your hair. It’s designed for everyday use.
I’ve been using this hair growth serum 3 times a day for 2 weeks, and it’s made my hair feel a bit fuller and thicker. I love how convenient it is to use. It’s so easy to apply the serum, leave it in, and just go about my day.
I don’t think the serum has made a huge difference to my hair health. But, admittedly, my hair is in great condition and very healthy, so there’s not a tonne to work on. My main concerns are fullness and thickness, which this lightweight serum has helped with.
Rating: 4 stars
I’m looking forward to seeing how much fuller and thicker my hair gets with continued use.
Is the Grow Gorgeous Intense range worth it?
I would recommend the Grow Gorgeous Intense range for anyone wanting fuller and thicker hair. The products are effective, meet their claims, feel high-quality, and are easy to use.
Rating: 4 stars
I’m particularly looking forward to seeing if there’s any more improvement in the fullness and thickness of my hair with continued use of the hair growth serum. The Grow Gorgeous Intense Thickening Conditioner is my fave.

Can you tell me if these products are safe for colour treated hair. Does it strip colour at all?
I believe they’re fine for colour-treated hair. I don’t think they strip the colour either. Always best to double-check with the brand to be on the safe side, though, as the products don’t explicitly state that they’re intended for colour-treated hair 🙂
Such a good review – thanks! I’d definitely use the shampoo and conditioner. I think the mask would be good for my scalp as I sometimes get some dryness and itchiness there.
