I’ve been investing in premium hair products recently, and I can tell the difference. My hair isn’t as oily as it used to be and stays grease-free for longer. Plus, my hair generally feels thicker, looks fuller, and has more volume.
I’ve been trying some luxurious FUL London products for a week. FUL London is a vegan and cruelty-free hair care brand created by the team at Live True London salons, offering high-quality, performance-driven products.
But how good is FUL London? I share my honest experience with 3 hair care products from the brand in this review.

I received the following 3 FUL London hair products to review:
I’m diving into my thoughts on each product below before sharing my overall FUL London brand review.
1. FUL London Hyaluronic Acid Hair Serum
£33 for 50ml
The FUL London Hyaluronic Acid Hair Serum is a treatment that’s designed to keep hair healthy, hydrated, and nourished. It can be used on dry and flaky scalps or to tame flyaways and frizz. It’s enriched with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, betaine, glycerin, castor oil, and panthenol.
As I’ve got oily hair, I don’t use this as a scalp serum. Instead, I use it to tame any flyaways or baby hairs. And it works so well!
The hair serum is lightweight, hydrating, and non-flaky. It doesn’t make my hair feel stiff, look hard, or have a crumbly texture. Instead, it effortlessly smooths hair and tames flyaways while feeling comfortable and non-rigid. A little bit goes a long way, so I found it easy to style my hair.
While it doesn’t have as much hold as a controlling gel, it kept my flyaways in place for about 3 hours. Beyond that point, they slowly started to lift.
This hair serum doesn’t have a noticeable scent. It just smells like a hair serum, if that makes sense?
Rating: 4.5 stars
I really like this formula and will use it when I want to keep my baby hairs in place.
2. FUL London Charcoal Purifying Shampoo
£22 for 250ml
The FUL London Charcoal Purifying Shampoo is a weekly treatment designed to rinse the hair of unwanted build-up from oil, dirt, pollution, and styling products. Its key actives are activated charcoal, which removes product build-up, excess oil, and daily pollutants, alongside vitamin E, glycerine, and panthenol, which all help to maintain moisture.
I like this charcoal shampoo. It smells nice with a vaguely sweet scent. The consistency is quite thick, and the shampoo has a rich charcoal tone, which I enjoy.
You apply this by taking a coin-sized amount of product, working it into a lather, massaging it gently into your scalp and then working it through to the ends of your hair, and rinsing the product out with lukewarm water. You then repeat this process once more.
I wish this product worked into more of a creamy lather. It mildly lathers up, but it’s not particularly bubbly. I love shampoos that really lather up, as I find the texture satisfying. Of course, that’s down to personal preference.
This shampoo makes my hair a bit oilier compared to other premium shampoos I’ve tried. It’s not bad, but I noticed my hair began getting greasy 1 day after I’d washed my hair. However, this shampoo excels at freeing my hair from any product build-up and making it feel healthy and hydrated. It made my scalp feel very fresh and clean too.

Although I don’t feel this is the best choice for prolonging my hair from being oil-free, I think it’s great for a scalp ‘detox’.
3. Ful London Charcoal Hair Mask
332 for 300ml
The FUL London Charcoal Hair Mask is a weekly treatment that’s designed to hydrate and condition hair while removing excess oil and pollutants. It’s formulated with activated charcoal, which removes product build-up, excess oil, and daily pollutants. Glycerin hydrates while phytolastin yeast extract adds a layer of defence against environmental damage.
I like this hair mask. The deep charcoal tone is aesthetically pleasing. I love the consistency of this hair mask. It’s rich and gloopy, which delivers a luxurious experience. It makes coating the hair effortless too. Again, it has a delightful yet subtle sweet scent.
After using the Charcoal Purifying Shampoo, you apply a generous amount of the mask to towel-dried hair. Gently massage through the hair to ensure even application, then leave for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.
I don’t love the method of application. I wish it was a hair mask you applied to dry hair before having a shower, where you then rinse it out. With this hair mask, you end up having to get out of the shower, dry off a bit, and then go back in after just to rinse the mask out. Admittedly, I’m pretty lazy when it comes to hair care. I always want a convenient solution.
Laziness aside, this hair mask is good. It’s intensely nourishing. My hair was in excellent condition after using this mask, while still feeling fresh and clean. It’s noticeably more hydrating than a typical conditioner, which would make it a good option if your scalp is on the drier side.
I’d only use this occasionally, as I think the formula is a little too rich for my oily hair. It definitely improved the condition of my hair, but it also made it greasier than usual. It’s a product for a pampering night in I reckon!

This is a solid hair mask for moisturised and healthy hair.
Is FUL London hair care worth it? The verdict
Overall, I think FUL London is worth it. These are premium products that smell great, make hair feel hydrated and healthy, and meet their claims. It’s brilliant that all the products are vegan, cruelty-free, and come in recyclable packaging.
While these aren’t my top recommendations for oily scalps like mine, each product is high quality and makes my hair feel fresh, protected, comfortable, and clean.

My fave product is, surprisingly, the Hyaluronic Acid Hair Serum. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do!

I’ve been thinking about trying a purifying shampoo, and I’d definitely consider this one. I don’t mind shampoo that doesn’t lather so much. I like the sound of charcoal in the products too!
I think you’d like this shampoo, as it’s fairly hydrating, so I don’t think you’d find it stripping
