A cleansing oil is a brilliant way to remove any makeup, SPF, skincare, dirt, oil, or grease easily from your skin. I find cleansing oils way more effective than micellar water at removing any unwanted residue from my skin, with less scrubbing.
However, cleansing oils vary in their performance. I’ve recently been trying the newly launched Vegreen Rice Pore Cleansing Oil. Vegreen is a cruelty-free and vegan Korean skincare brand that focuses on effective and moisturising products for all skin types.
In this honest review, I share my thoughts on the Vegreen Rice Pore Cleansing Oil, including its efficacy, key ingredients, and price point, to let you know whether this is a must-buy product.
About the Vegreen Rice Daily Moisture Pore Cleansing Oil
The Vegreen Rice Pore Cleansing Oil is designed to minimise skin irritation while effortlessly remove makeup and dirt from the skin. It claims to be lightweight, hydrating, and smoothing, with no skin tightness after use.
Vegreen says the oil reduces blackheads and dissolves dead skin cells to promote an even complexion.
Key ingredients include:
- 41.94% rice bran oil, which functions as a barrier-repairing emollient and has antioxidant properties. It can also help target factors that lead to dark spots and uneven skin tone, according to Paula’s Choice.
- Grape seed oil, which is an emollient with antioxidant properties.
- Soybean oil, which again is an emollient with antioxidant properties. It can also help to fade stubborn discolouration caused by sun exposure.
- Jojoba seed oil, which, alongside being an emollient with antioxidant properties, can help soothe the skin and enhance its restorative properties.
It retails for $28 USD/£22 GBP for 150ml and can be purchased here.
Honest Vegreen Rice Daily Moisture Pore Cleansing Oil review
I’ve been using the Vegreen Rice Pore Cleansing Oil for about a week, and it’s fantastic.
Firstly, it smells fantastic, with a sweet and subtle floral scent. However, this cleansing oil is free from fragrance – both perfume and essential oils – which makes it great for people who dislike fragranced skincare or are sensitive to it.
The texture is lightweight yet silky. It’s quite runny for a cleansing oil too, which aids in it not feeling greasy on my oily skin. This thinner consistency means it glides effortlessly over the skin, without requiring lots of rubbing.
A little bit of product goes a long way, and just 1 pump is enough to cover your whole face. If you’re wearing a full face of makeup, you can always use 2 pumps to remove any stubborn eyeliner, lipstick or mascara. I find that it easily lifts any makeup, dirt, SPF, or oil that’s lingering on my skin.
The cleansing oil rinses away seamlessly too. With just a little bit of water, the oil breaks down and comes off the skin with ease. I always follow with a second cleanse, typically with a gel cleanser, and this ensures any oily residue is rinsed away.
After using the cleanser, my skin feels moisturised, clean, fresh, and soothed. There’s no tightness, and it helps to slightly relieve any skin irritation.
I’ve not noticed a difference in my skin’s texture, a reduction in blackheads, or a more event complexion yet.
I also think the price point is fantastic for this effective, gentle, and high-quality cleansing oil. It boasts a great INCI list and leave skin feeling nourished and protected. This is definitely one of the nicest cleansing oils I’ve tried and a must-try product!
This sounds really nice and is a great price. I’d definitely use an oil cleanser like this that is unscented as I have other products that do have some fragrance in, so I like having a cleanser that I know won’t add any irritaiton!
