From Dayma herself…
My name is
When I am not writing, reading, working out, or researching, I’m a mom to a beautiful little girl and a fur baby, along of course with being a wife to my handsome husband.
Growing up I didn’t have the best childhood. I went through a few experiences, which then led to anxiety and depression as an adult. This negative experience inspired me to create my blog in which I help you regain confidence in yourself, gain motivation to fulfil all your dreams and achieve your aspirations, and become the best version of yourself possible!
We all have good days and bad days, happy days, and not so happy days. However, it is essential and extremely important to develop a balance and long-term happiness from daily activities and duties.
All the successful and happy women usually share the same secrets, which I have placed for you below so that you can benefit and become your own successful and happy woman.
This is so critical and important and until you start seeing the benefits of self-care, you will not understand why.
A way of showing that you love and value yourself is by making time for you. Either a day at the spa or simply having a nice relaxing bubble bath, a simple break from all the responsibilities and duties that you have to constantly tend to.
2. Set a routine
When you don’t have a set routine, you are pretty much just going through the ups and downs of daily life. Usually, we don’t make time for the things we love when we are just riding through the day.
If you do not have a routine established yet, take some time to sit down and write some things you would like to accomplish and achieve. I know it’s exciting to be creating this new routine, but don’t overdo at first because you might end up burning out and not really accomplishing what you set out to do.
Do find some time to incorporate “me” time, whether it’s
A smile can literally change someone’s mood! Always remember that others are going through things we may not even imagine and who knows if that beautiful smile was all they needed to feel better and keep going? Don’t forget: positive energy attracts positive energy!
4. Express gratitude
Gratitude has the power to rewire our brain, to end up feeling happy for the things that we have been blessed to have, rather than constantly dwell on the things that we do not have.
Let’s be real, usually, we dwell on the things that we do not have or the things we want. For just 5 minutes a day focus on the things that you do have and are already grateful for!
Having a gratitude journal has helped me immensely as it holds me responsible every night before be, to make some time and write down nonstop for 5 minutes everything that I am grateful for. For example,” I am grateful for my loving husband, I am grateful for my daughter, I am grateful for this beautiful home, and amazing family.” Doing this every day will get you in a daily routine and habit of constantly seeing the good in every situation.
Life is hard enough as it is and it is not easy to always smile and be positive. However, there are things you can do to battle the negative times and thoughts.
Being positive is a state of mind that you can easily cultivate through meditation. I personally have to thank meditation for my positivity and happiness, it allows me to centre myself and just relax. It helps with reducing stress, increasing focus and motivation, and improving sleep along with your mentality.
6. Embrace your flaws
If you would have told me to embrace my flaws a year ago, I would have probably just laughed because never in a million years did I ever think I would actually get to the point that I loved everything that made me who I am.
When I was little, I would always cover my arms up because I was ashamed that they were bigger than my other
However, I came to realise that the only way you can be truly happy is by learning how to completely love yourself, flaws and all! Those happy women don’t judge other women or bring them down, they usually look for the good in everyone, including themselves.
7. Be your own best friend
You can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. It all comes down to your negative or positive self-talk. You have to learn how to rewire your thoughts in a way that instead of focusing on all your mistakes and flaws, you focus on all the good you do and are able to pick yourself up when you fall.
Here is more on stopping negative self-talk.
8. Envision your wants and dreams
What does your perfect day look like in your mind? Why don’t you write it down? Envision it, see it, live it. When you know exactly what you want, it’s so much easier to actually achieve it.
You need to create routines and habits that are all aligned with your dreams and the type of woman you want to
I’m not telling you to go to a gym and spend 3 hours there, NO! What I am telling you is to find an activity that you actually enjoy and gets you moving. Whether it’s a class like Zumba or cycling, even boxing, anything that’s active, and you actually enjoy. There is nothing worse than doing an activity you absolutely hate because chances are you will never go back and do it again.
10. Stop comparing yourself
I like leaving the best for the last. The reason I feel like this is so important is because so long as you are comparing yourself to everyone else, you will never achieve your goals and you will be miserable every single day of your life!
I know sometimes it’s hard to embrace yourself fully and not have negative thoughts, however, that’s when the power of the mind and your willpower come in. If you really want to be a happy, and successful woman, you will try your best to apply these tips and any others that benefit you in your evolvement from an unhappy woman to an ecstatic one instead!
